Michael A. Jones

I am an Associate Editor at the American Mathematical Society’s Mathematical Reviews (MR) in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I came to MR in 2008, after 14 years as a professor; in chronological order, I held academic positions at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point (3 years), Loyola University Chicago (1 year), and Montclair State University (10 years). I served as the editor of the Mathematical Association of America’s Mathematics Magazine from 2015 to 2019. I studied under Donald Saari at Northwestern, earning my PhD in game theory in 1994. My bachelor’s degree is from Santa Clara University, where two of my professors (Gerald Alexanderson and Frank Farris) were also editors of Math Magazine.
